Prison wife

Gracie was the wife of a minister.the minister was very traditional. This made him popular with Manny. It also made him disliked by others. He was not very political.that did not stop those who did not any form of religion.
That made him a target. There was a plot to target ministers of all faith in the town of oyster bay.  The plan was to discredit faith in the town. They hoped to make the town secular. They believed that it was possible.
One day Gracie was driving home from the grocery store. She got into the car. A canister was left. A non lethal gas knocked her out.
She woke up back in her car. She was startled at first. She started to remember. She looked around. She saw another car.she had hit another car.she ran to the car. The driver was dead.  She feared the worst.she feared that she killed her.
She took out a cell phone
She called 911. The police and ambulance arrived. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her blood alcohol was checked. She was found to be drunk beyond the legal limit. She was Waring a blue denim skirt and green sweater.
She was immediately arrested.she was placed in handcuffs. Her Miranda rights were read and she was led into the cop car.
When she arrived, she was finger printed. She was then taken to the county jail.
She had always been modest. She hated the strip search. Luckily she was able to be searched in front of female guards . she was put in an orange jump suit.she did not believe in Waring pants.in prison she was not given a choice.
She was taken to her cell. She was astonished. None of it made sense She knew that she had not drank alcohol. Why did the blood test say She had. What was the canister.she really had no clue
Her husband had been home with the kids.he was getting woried when she failed to come home. He called her cell phone.
“Hello “a male voice Said. “Who is this?” Garcie’s husband asked.” this is sergeant brigs with oyster bay police department . who is this ?”he asked.
“This is Philip Brandt. My wife is Gracie Brandt.” he said. “Sir you had better come to the station.” he said.
He could not believe that she had been arrested.he did not believe that she was guilty.he suspected that someone was framing her. He had a feeling he knew who and why. They wanted to discreet him. How could he expose them and prove Her innocence?
She knew nothing about prison.she could not believe she was hear.never in a million years did she imagine she would be hear. She had never committed a crime.she did not even speed.she did not even cut the tag off of a matress. How could this have happened?
She was exhausted.she fell asleep.she slept until morning. She was woken up. She hated trying to walk while shackled. She was taken to the court room.
She was charged with operating u ser the influence.she was also charged with vehicular homicide. She had a plate light out.  She pleading guilty to the first one. She gave no response to the third.she had no idea if she was guilty of that one or not.
She was granted bail.it took a while for Phil to get the money.she was released. She had to sign a lot of paper work.
She was so scared.he hugged her.she held on to him tighy. She did not want to let him go. He assured her that it would be alright. He would not let any harm come to her. He would protect her. He would get to the truth. Whatever it took.
That night she held her kids.then they went to bed. They cuddled. He told her it would be ok. It would. He was just not totally sure how.he would clear her name.
